Discover a new love of fitness
Transform the way you feel in a gym and find out for yourself that movement really can be fun and fulfilling.
When Emily started in the Fat Fitness program, she didn't think she could ever find her home in a gym. But through her time at Solcana she has discovered a love of working out. “I found joy in movements that feel good, empowering, but also challenge me. Each session, I’m not just working out—I’m learning what my body is capable of, which is, honestly, a lot more than I thought.”
Saumya is the epitome of child-like wonder and brings so much joy and positive energy to our community. But she is also a total badass. She holds down a big job, and kids, but still makes time for fitness, and time to volunteer on Community Council.
“When I started at Solcana, I would get out of breath carrying my toddler up the stairs. 9 months later, I am really enjoying having more energy and learning new fitness skills. Coming to a Solcana group fitness class is like having a warm hug after a crappy day. I can show up as I am and always leave feeling strong. And, I ABSOLUTELY adore our community!"
"Wonderful gym!"
"The trainers are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive , and helpful. The people are incredibility nice, accepting, and supportive of a variety of body types and ability levels. The classes offer a great variety with lots of timeslots. There are also daily "recesses" where. you can do whatever you'd like outside of a class. They're incredibility LGBTQIA+ accepting. I've always felt welcomed."

"Best gym ever!"
Best gym ever! Trans and queer led, offers black strength, trans strength and masters (50+) strength classes, etc. Incredibly body positive, to the degree that I have never heard any staff ever initiate a conversation about weightless or muscle building unless someone asked first. Even then, it's hardly ever mentioned. I have always felt welcome, safe and included as short, wide, queer, late 50's woman with injury restrictions. It's one of the only places where I can say things like "I am a power lifter" and no one looks at me like I am nuts, or "oh that's so cute she thinks she can lift things" or. like I am a super role model. I am just an athlete like anyone else.

"Queer, trans, non-binary inclusive gym, that has classes for all types of bodies."
"Provides variations of movements for more accessibility, and has sliding scale scholarships if fees are an issue. Solcana made me fall in love with power lifting, and made the gym feel more like a community vs a thing to check off my to do list.."
